Put a big cutting wheel on it and cut 2 1/2 spring bolts
I can't imaging the amount of leverage that disc has on that little motor .
My HF grinder sounds like the gear box is going out on it I have only had it 2 years
What brand is that POS?
Make sure the 4 screws that hold the output(for last of a better word)! you have to pull the disc off to tighten em. I let em get loose and didn't realize it. The gears would disengage randomly and it would rev like mad till I shut if off lol.
It will have to check that out it currently sounds like it has rocks in it and it get pretty ****ing hot . I am getting my $10 out of it.
It smells as good as it looks
Tool Shop Brand, Menards sells a bunch of their stuff.
ya I tore it appart to put in the replacement brushes it came with. The wires were melted off the brushes, and the little clip on the end of one side was melted into plastic housing.
Haha, I killed one like that with a 9" disc. It took about 10 minutes on a piece of 3/8" plate and it was done.
I cut one of the spring eye bolts let it cool for about 20, cut another one it started to smoke a bit, then i let it cool for about 15. Went to cut one on the other size and got about half way through poof...well i guess that suckers done lol.
awesome pictures, smokey tools are cool!
You must keep that camera handy bro, smoke still bellowing out of it, full steam ahead!
That would be clue #1 as to what the quality was.........
In the instructions it said regularly take the brushes out and clean them, lol.
Ya I was tighta$$ mode the day I bought that one. Im basically waiting for a sale to get a better one. Dont really wanna fork out over 100 for a good grinder but I might end up doing that. I do have some more bolts Ill have to cut though for the front springs...I might buy a couple more cheap grinders and have fun with the smoke show.
I had my camera around cuz I was taking pictures of my build. Stomper was giving me hell. Take a picture of that wrench you used and those rivets you beat out.
Nothing like having friends around to help out.
Im still a newb about workin on trucks. Im glad to have Brett, Kert, Terry and Mikey around to help me out. Im pretty sure either my truck would be scrapped out or it would of cost me alot of money to get a shop to do all the work to my truck that we are.
I hope I can help some kid out sometime like those guys all help me out too.
Ran a call on a guy who did something similar but he attatched a skill saw blade to it and was cutting tree limbs. Oh and his left arm too.
My grampa does that **** with a weedeater. He also was testing the solenoid in his truck (Furd), only to have it start in reverse, and mow a bunch of stuff over at their house. If it had been in drive, I'd probably be out of grampas...
Hmm - reminds me of this guy http://edsanders.net/ownWords.html
The after pics http://edsanders.net/hand.html - oops
