I have a K5!

Those were the AT's. Kind of aggressive for AT's though. Always dug them.

(Hard thinking that's your orange K5 now.)

Looks a little different now. ;)

I didnt get much of a chance to try them in mud. I know the damn Goodyear Wranglers I had on it before sucked in it though. I could get stuck if I looked at wet dirt in those things.

Yeah, just a little.

My friends in NZ liked the AT's. Saw them in action on a few Toyotas, Nissans, Holdens (Isuzu), etc and they worked fairly well. Most of them ended up going to the MT's or another brand of MT's for the same reason we all do...want more tire.

Warn Premium hubs, Spicer 5-760X u-joints, good ball joints, wheel bearings, races, seals, brake caliper pins:doah:, and a few other things...and oh yeah...I put the wheels and tires on tonight.:D

A bit of a howl but I've had worse. Handle nice and they're a solid 2" or more taller than my 28-28.5" tall Goodyear AT/S's were.

And I thought my pile-O-parts was gigantic, I got nuthin on that.

Random but where is Jeff anyways? Haven't seen him in a while. Ex eat him or something? Get locked in his storage unit?

All done. Had a busy weekend. Oh, new drag links too.

Man, that is a sweet looking truck. Makes me want to un-build mine back to stock, or find a stock one.

Awesome work!!!

Thanks, I'm pleased. We need to fix the p-side seat mounts and then beef them all up and it's getting gutted and the interior Rhino Lined. Carpet Shmarpet.

I need to drag the DIY4x sliders I had Kert make out and get a picture for you guys. Dead sssssssseksy! Those are getting Rhino Lined also before I put them on.

Friend says he saw a 2500LD in the LKQ 'yard down in Holland the other week...hrmmm...nah...don't need a 14SF yet...

Keep thinking about a stereo though. I ate up my stereo fund with random crap I had either forgotten and had to spend money on due to PO's stupidity.

ORD steering brace is coming as well.

The steering brace AND Cherokee steering shaft were both EXCELLENT upgrades to my steering. (Along with ORD's crossover) I have a 12" steering wheel, and don't have to saw the wheel to stay in a straight line anymore, even with 38's.

Yeah, Big Ugly has the bolt in steering brace and this one is getting it too. Was sorta hoping to find a used one though. Not looking good for that.

I have one Cherokee steering shaft sitting in the garage. Had it for over a year...laziness...

The install was actually quite simple. It was harder to extend the new shaft than it was to install it.

x2.

PS. Dont' throw away the bushings. Sand them down some so it slides easily, lube it, and install.

Yeah, I cut them out completely and it can be felt lightly in the steering wheel. :(

...still 1000 times better. :D

Thats what i did. Hence my reccomendation:doah:

Can't really feel it after the 33x12.50's, though:rolleyes:

awesome looking truck AJ. I'm going for the same build as yours, I just have to convert mine to a diesel :eek1: (have a complete donor K5 in the back yard).

Noob question of the day: what is the purpose of upgrading to a cherokee steering shaft? On a stockish K5 at that.

The stock rag joint is sloppy as hell. The XJ shaft is basically a bolt in, and is u jointed. Removes a lot of the play in teh steering system for a small fraction of an aftermarket ujoint shaft.
