Uh-oh. Something tells me you had a bad experience with a Furd. /forums/images/icons/tongue.gif /forums/images/icons/laugh.gif
Well, uhhh, my daily driver is a 2000 Superduty F350, 4x4, crewcab, longbed dualie and I love every second that I ambehind the wheel. I figure you all will roast me for this, but I could give a crap. It drives like a dream, pulls anything and gets over 17MPG. Whatchya gonna do!!???!!!
i'm a chevy/GMC guy but i must say, superduties are cool. my buddys gettin one in 2 weeks for a HS grad present. 2003 4 door, shortbed (don't ask me why), powerstroke, 4x4, lariat trim package, tow package, FX4 off road package and it's fire engine red. nice grad present huh? /forums/images/icons/smile.gif /forums/images/icons/cool.gif
$40k truck as a HS grad present, eh? Dang, what does he get when he graduates from college, a Lear jet? /forums/images/icons/tongue.gif
LoL no kidding. Thats little much for a grad present. /forums/images/icons/tongue.gif
I've heard of spoiled before, but that's got to be a record!
Biggest downside to the short box is you only get a 29 gallon fuel tank. The longbed gets a 38. ?????
Nothing wrong with appriciating Fords /forums/images/icons/cool.gif
my graduation present wasnt nearly as cool...
i got to choose between getting my own apartment, or paying my parents rent...
the present was that they'd only make me pay half the going rate of an apartment...
i certainly learned the value of a dollar real quick!
Thats one of the best things I think a parent can do. Im really glad my parents taught me the same thing. They gave me a car, but I had to work for the insurance and the other half of the payements. If I wasnt doing good in school no job for me which ment no car eather. If I lived under thier roof I had to go to school or pay rent. Its great to give your kids things but teaching your kid the value of a dollor or make them work a little for things like that is much more valuable then a 40K truck.
What NOT to do as a parent....
Buy your sister a 67 Camero for her 16th, just to let her wrap it around a telephone pole, and wait until I graduate from college to give me a lame 82 Mustang /forums/images/icons/mad.gif
