I just scored, BIG TIME.

Looks like a ball mount for a CB antenna???..

Funny,I've said that to myself too, when I got a good look at a 90% rust free truck I was buying years ago--"So THATS what it looked like from the factory!"...it was the first truck I bought that didn't need floors, cab corners and rockers, and still had the backing plates on the rockers...up until then every one I owned either was already patched back together,or needed to be!....

I'd love to find a nice 1960-66 Chevy or GMC panel truck out west thats minty someday..even if its just a shell with no drivetrain,as long as its got zero rust!..

Okay, I gotta ask...what's the lump on the LR quarter panel above the body line?

It's a dent. ;) PO said someone backed into him at the grocery store recently. :doah: there's one other dent on the passenger fender.

Nice score! Looks very clean for 21 years old, PO must have kept it garaged a lot since you still have paint on it :D My 91 burb is mostly down to the primer. Sorry if I missed it but how many miles are on it.

The body's far from perfect in the paint dept., but it's a good 20 footer. You can see primer coming through in many places and whatnot, but that doesn't bother me much.paint was low on my list of what was important so long as it was rust free and in mechanically sound condition.

197700... :yikes: puffs a bit of smoke on cold start, gone in less than 5 seconds. PO says he never had to add oil between oil changes. No leaks.

Eh, big whoop. 200k well kept may as well be 100k well kept on these things. No big deal.

still cant believe your gonna wheel that pristine square body when ya got a nice prebuilt wheeler already:rolleyes: that thing should be DD till mother nature finally catches up, THEN beat the snot out of it:D

......... So is the green '73 for sale?

I'll need to know that...... I still need a '73 k5 to pair with my '73 z-28

I suppose that it is, but nobody would pay what I would want for it, I don't think. I'd also be keeping the tires/wheels, so that really diminishes the perceived value.

I'm not much of a snot-beater. :) I like to wheel technical trails, but I don't like high throttle, metal mashing type wheeling. I think I put one dent in my '73. I maybe put 2 dents into the '83 body.

Shoot me a pm when you can. With what you want for what's left. Thanks.

Come on Colby give Luke a price then he can decide, what else are you gonna do chop it up for scrap...I`ve said many times before that your 73 was one of my favorite rigs on this site, it`s one of the rigs that made me want to become a payed member, so I could see pics of it, just to give me insperation to keep working on mine.

Besides it would go to Alberta, that would be sweet.:thumb:

I now that the truck has it`s issues, but I just love the look of it,kind of like I love the look of JD nobodys.

Sorry for the rant,just a thought.:D

Ok. I'll give it some serious thought. Sounds like you've got a real interest in the truck. I'll mull it over and we can take a conversation about it to the PM's.

Max - that's quite the praise. I sure appreciate it. I intend for the '90 to have the same sort of aggressive look, but as I've said before, it wil be more well planned.
