I need some steps for my '89 suburban. I have a 4" lift and run 35" MTRs.

My wife (who is 7.5 months pregnant and about 5'6" tall) drives the sub at times and is having a real hard time getting in. It will also serve as a part time baby hauler, so it will be even more difficult for her once the baby comes (we also have a three year old).

I am thinking about DPI rock whores with the outer bar angled down some and some grip tape. One fear i have is that the outer bar will not stick out far enough and it will become a shin basher. I am also unsure how far down to have the bar (step angled). I would put some type of grip tape to keep it from being slippery.

I am unsure if this will work good or not and I am looking for input. Anyone have any thoughts about this subject??

Check with DPI, he built some custom bars for Ratzila's Sub.

You could always do a removable step that is small enough to put inside on the floor. That's how mine are setup and my wife didn't have a really hard time until about 7-8 mos. along. I'll try to get a pic later if you want but the sliders are 2" square tubing.
