My welder showed up today:D. It is on the cart and locked away in the garage. I burned a short test bead just to make sure the tension on the spool was correct and that everything worked. It welds really nice. For those who dont know it is a Miller-matic 135 with a 50SCF bottle of C25:D. My muffler and Cat are set to show up on Valentines Day:D so next weekend I should be able to do my exhaust install stand by for the write up:D

Looks pretty good. No pattern I take it.

Is that the goofy 20A adapter we had to make that day I came over to do some welding. If so I am glad it is going to god use.

No Pattern? I was doing little Cs with the torch on the last couple. I am not sure of the proper mig technique. Yes that is the plug, my welder has a normal 3 prong plug on it even though it is a 20 amp plug. I use that one as it is shorter than my other 3 prong extension cord.:D

Oh, the first time I looked at the thread I did not see the last pics. Firefox is wierd like that. I have no idea what the proper way to MIG is but I alsways seem to get things to stick together. Could be just luck???

I did some more practicing tonight. Tell me what I am doing right or wrong.:D

Vertical welds suck this one is from bottom to top:o
Practice212h.JPG

This one was welded as it sits but turn it over so the top would be the bottom:D .

I found something to put some of my stickers on. It came with some really gay flames. It is a high dollar chicago electric helmet from Harbor Freight:D. It can be a little slow to go from dark to light but is really fast from light to dark:D .

Probably aboot as good as you will ever get without cleaning up the metal a litle more.

I was there when we cut most of that and it was dirty (oil, paint, dirt, rust)

Looks pretty good to me though......everyone knows I am no professional though

Ya I did not feel like breaking out the angle grinder and changing wheels so I just stuck em together and hit it:D . My arms paid for it though, I wore gloves but the spatter from the dirty metal hit my arms between my sleeves and gloves:doah: .

Your workspace probably looks like mine each time I get a new welder. Every piece of scrap there was... is now all welded together into one giant piece of 'scrap art'
