I traded the blazer.....

thats pretty cool, ( I like the K5 better though LOL )

Yeah, i know, but I dont regret it, it was time...my buddies are all leaning more towards the smaller rigs, And I can still feel like a man because I have a real engine inder the hood...

You shoulda seen the looks on the kids faces in the fox body that i smashed light to light by my shop:)

I dont know what three speed this thing has in it, but MAN it is high strung! Im doing about 50 in second.

hahaha yeah thats always fun so are you still planning on the Alaska move??

I am, having a few setbacks with the financial siteation, We are going to get things set up this summer, hoping to have it all in place mid summer or fall.

You can get the same perfomance from a Blazer , when you cut the Blazer off the frame and don't use it anymore

I swear , the going fast is so easy with the K5 body gone ( if I don't have a wheel or driveline vibe making me limp her home after crawling ) , I feel the same way as you and your jeep when I mash the loud pedal

When I was driving my '46 with 33s, I would be in 3rd in the T90 with the Warn OD engaged at like 3500 RPM at 50 MPH. Of course I still had the stock 5.38 (IIRC) gears.

cool keep me posted the offer to help drive up still stands

Man when you said "Flat fender" I thought this not a heep! :doah:

Not being meanie I was just thinking a Flat fender not your fault. I just like the old style ;)

It's okay man. Even though, you do drive a HEEP now, I'll still love you in the morning:D:haha:
Oh good, that was my big concern!:haha:

I really dont like to think of it as a jeep. As far as im concerned, its a mini chevy with a willys body...Now, nobody needs to spoil that shallow fantasy:)

I think im going to be yarding that trans/tcase out in favor of a sm465/205....And just wait till I break those cutesy little jeep axles:D

before long it will be a exact clone of your K5 just with a Jeep body LOL

you think the 465/205 combo will work out with the stock wheelbase? i'm build a willys flatty buggy and i feel like i'm pushing it iwth a 106" wheelbase! can't wait to be having fun like you, my rig is about 2800 lbs 37's 5.13's overdrive and 400 horse =)

I think its gonna be close, but i may end up moving axles with zero rates.

the 465/205 is a very short combo in the grand scheme of things., plus my smallbock is pretty far forward. low profile water pump, electric fan etc.

Im going to take some measurements today.

Wheres pics of yourn?

i don't have it posted here cause it's not really related to this forum...

after i made my last post i ran out to the garage to check how long my rear d shaft will be and it is somewhere in the 24-28" range, kinda sucks i wanted it to be longer...my front will be about 50" POOH. any ways, you have any others mods planned for the jeep?

i'm working on a cage design right now, it will be an integral part of the chassis, this is a quick sneak peak of an idea i had...
