I turned a Dana 60 today...

At work a guy brought in a Dana 60 that was in a bad rollover. He wanted me to check it out and make sure it was still straight and then turn the ends down to press fit some new Reid C's he bought. Kinda cool and I thought you guys would like it. :D

all that work from that point and still low pinion .

only real regret I have in my built 60 under STUBBY is I didn't do high pinion with all the custom stuff in it.

That's a serious lathe to swing one of those things around like that.

Rigid is an understatement for that lathe. :D
I didn't even mention the gears and ARB are still in it so there's a decent amount of weight off-center. Still didn't phase it.

Agreed, that's why my crawler sports a built HP60.

As cool as it is standing there with my phone making a movie for some internet truck friends doesn't exactly make the shop money. :dunno:
