I wanted to smack this guy !!!!

I saw a guy one time who had put at least a 12" shackel lift on a truck, just to run 44s. The crazy thing was that he still had the stock leaf springs under it, so the front springs still curved down. It looked really bad.

Unfortunately, it's been about 10 years since I've been wheelin in California. My Blazer has had a blown front axle since right after I bought it. I've finally gotten a 44/14 bolt combo for it and will be swapping them in as soon as I finish up swapping in the TBI 350/TH400/NP203 combo that I'm working on now. Where do you go wheeling around here?

I saw one of those 12" or so shackle lifts on a Toyota here in town. It looked really dangerous, it didn't even have a cross bar to connect the two plates!

People with unsafe lifted vehicles give all of us a bad name. That's why the public associates lifted vehicles with rednecks. A friend of mine had lift blocks up front for the longest time--he bought the truck that way. They weren't even solid. I was told that truck was in 4 different magazines once. I find that hard to belive.

Another friend of mine bought a junk truck just to beat, it had 4" blocks all the way around. He ended up breaking one in half, but it never came out completely. HIGHLY unsafe.

I went to Sonic last night to look at all the cars that are there saturday night, and there was an old CJ that this guy had spent about $20K on. All chrome stuff, 35's on a real small lift, probably would rub on a speedbump, but a real nice Jeep. I was with a frined in his '98 Tj, and we talke dto the guy for a while, he was pretty cool, had gotten it cause he wanted to go offroading, but it ended up too nice.....I also saw a Suzuki or something the other day with a huge bodylift, real scary.

I saw a Zuki Sami today at the golf course that was lowered and painted a dark metallic blue.
