In my shop. Doing stuff.
Last Tuesday the Jimmy went into limp mode. I know, no limp mode in an 87. But it sure ran like it. Forgot my phone. Could not call my brother to see if he was home. It was getting cold and I did not want to be stuck outside. So I drive home on what seemed like 4 cylinders. Up hill, low gear, 15 mph.

2 days of snow and a fall on ice, kept me from working on it.

Opened the hood today. Removed the air cleaner. Noticed bare wires on right injector clip. Did not check any thing else, due to the fact that I won't let that slide. Was not getting power in the clip.

A trip to the SY was made. Driving the semi in city traffic sucks. Also picked ip a new to me trans dip stick and PCV tube.

Put the new wire ends on using a 4 prong weather pack connector. Put everything back together. Still ran on 4 cylinders.??????

Right injector still not working. Getting power now so I switched injectors. Now left side it running. Another trip for parts. $63 later. New injector and gaskets and o rings. Runs great now.

Bad wires and a bad injector.
