Here are some pictures I took at a car show near my house
I'm beginning to really like rat rods.
Yea before I got my blazer, I was actually going to start on a rat rod project, My dad has a 30 Model A 5 window coupe body I was goin to use. Maybe in a few years
I absolutely love that first car. I can really see something like that in my garage.
What motor is in the car in the last picture...... Some version of a hemi?
I believe it is a flathead ford.
I don't think so unless its the big 337 I'm not very familiar with them...... dizzy is on the wrong end of the block and I'm only seeing one water pump, plus the fact it has valve covers and not 17, 21, or 24 stud head
Edit: too many exhaust tubes, flatties only have 3 exhaust ports
That is no flathead, an early hemi more likely.
The first one looks like something Herman Monster would drive. Dang now I have that theme song stuck in my head.
I know its a hemi possibly chrysler or Desoto not sure which
Yea that first one was really sweet. The guy that owns it is the founder of the voodoo kings car club from illinois. The car started as a four-door sedan and the rear doors were welded shut, top chopped down and middle section removed and rear brought forward, body channeled over frame, the grill was a 31 nash
at least you picked sweet rides, not the standard 55 chevy and 65 mustang. not that there is anything wrong with those cars ,just over done.
dayum! that stuff is awsome!
Hate them with a passion. Look like they are gonna fall apart just parked there
love the silver chevy
I am digging that last one with the 392 Chrysler . Those have real hemisherical combustion chambers , unlike the current hemi which is hemi by name only ( its a penta-roof now )
