When I am in park, then I am in 2 high, right? I was off roading yesterday and now there is a new vibration, noise, etc.
I am wondering if I have messed up the transfer case...

Your transmission and transfer case are two different units.
You can put the tranny in park. But the transfer case will be in what ever gear the Xfer case shift slector in in. Putting the trans in park has no effect on the Xfer case being in 2 high.
As far as the vibration/noise. Check your U joints before worring about bigger things.

Thanks Thunder. But what I mean is, right now I am in park, engine is off, and I can turn the front driveshaft all the way around to the left and to the right, but the rear driveshaft wont turn at all. I dont have a transfer case indicator, and no one to see if the front driveshaft is turning when I drive, and 2high and 4high are too close together for me to tell based on the position of the shifter inside, so I am trying to figure out how I can tell on my own.

if you have it in 2wd and the hubs unlocked, the front shaft should be free to move. the vibration is prolly the u-joints on your driveshafts.

yes, and they are unlocked. That was easy to check, because the Warn hubs have the 4x4 / 4x2 right on them. I wish there was a way like that with the transfer case. So does being able to turn the front driveshaft mean I am in 2 high?

No, 2 low is wayyyy down there on the shifter. I'm dumb, but not ... well, probably not that dumb  Ok, thanks guys, I'll go check out the u-joints. They would be loose if something is wrong, correct?

Not necessarily, If they that worn out that they're loose than yes, they are bad. But, they could be all bound up with rust and crap, in which case you want to replace them anyway.

What year is your rig? What t-case is in it? Unless you have an NP205 that was modified for twin stick you are either in 2wd high range or 2wd low range.

Its a 72, with a 205 transfer case. The driveshafts and u-joints, etc, look ok. I'll drive it around until it gets worse and I can identify what it is, or until it gets better and then I wont have to fix anything! :D
