So tomorrow my 14in travel shocks come and I'm going to inboard my shocks as the last thing I do under the truck while I have the luxury of the bed not being planked.
I plan to make my own mounts or maybe even move my stock ones. I've been reading up and seeing that people have axle wrap issues from the shocks no longer holding the springs down on acceleration. So I just had an idea as to how I could possibly get the best of both worlds.
Couldnt I mount the shocks inboarded like normal but move the crossmember forward on the frame and give them say a 5* angle so that they are still acting to prevent wrap somewhat? Is this going to just defeat the purpose of inboarding them and hinder articulation?
If so I'm thinking of inboarding them like regular and mounting a very stiff shock at say a 15* angle towards the axle to almost act as a track bar.
What do you guys think?
