Sept 28 a group of us will run Indy. Anybody interested?
Sweet! I've marked the day on my calendar, so that I can immortalize the carnage on film! /forums/images/icons/cool.gif
Who is planning on goin Tim?
Ed, Me, Steve, Brian (big black K-5), probably Ken, you, and I dont know who else /forums/images/icons/grin.gif
Hey, I just saw this post, can we make it the following Saturday?
Yea since none of us seems to be able to get our junk ready. We are to go on Oct 5. I still have to get a new rear shaft after Upper and make sure my front fenders wont fall off.
Great!!! That works out even better for me...
So whats the start time on this small event?
I would like to hit the trail by 9:00 just in case there is carnage we will have time to still get out before dark. I am going to call Larry and Mark tonight and see if they will come too.
This sounds great. My son has a football game that day & is usually done around 1230 (Park & Rec league). Will you guys be coming out at anypoint & going back to another trail? If so, I'd love to head down & meet up with you. Penrose is only 35 minutes from home.
So is everyone still planning on going in the morning?
I won't be able to go. My son has a football game & memorial park. I will be there from 930-1230. My youngest daughter has a cheerleading thing at the Mesa Ridg HS Varsity football game around 1-330. I'm thinking about stopping by the Youth Outreach Center after that. I heard there having another tough-truck competition. A couple of my buddies are going to enter. It is supposed to be a mud pit & some rocks. Who knows. I'll try to find out more info later.
Yeah, I got my stuff fixed so I am ready!
Sounds like fun...I found Independence pass on my map....but where to meet? /forums/images/graemlins/1zhelp.gif
Anyone that could send me directions.PLEASE DO!!! I wanna go, but dont know where. Thanx /forums/images/graemlins/ears.gif
Independence Pass is a long way from Independence Trail. Look up the town of Penrose. It's sorta between Pueblo and Canon City. It's a pretty long drive from where you are. Once you get to Penrose, look for the signs that point towards Brush Hollow Resevoir, just off of Hiway 115. Turn towards the resevoir, then go to E Street and turn right. It's a dirt road that just peters out and becomes a 2-track. Keep going on the 2-track and you'll come to the trail. The trail is only about 1/4 of a mile long, but last year they started in at 9 AM and pulled out at the other end at 6 PM. /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif
Sorry Trouble I forgot to send you the directions. Harry pointed you the right way. If you want to come we will be there about 9:30 to start the trail. It is usually an all day affair, but the carnage is always good.
long trip, yes...but sounds like its worth it...I'll be coming in hwy 9 from frisco...go left on 50 thru canon city to penrose...left on 115...go to boat ramp sign on left...
If this sounds correct, I'll see you in the morning, if not, please let me know. /forums/images/graemlins/eek.gif
Hope you all had fun, I tried to make it, got lost as h---,
next time.... /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif
We were wondering where you were today! How far did you get before you realized you were lost? /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif
A good time was had by all! The carnage was impressive, but nothing too devastating. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif I'm sure that some pics will be getting posted soon...
