Indexing spark plugs is just an effort to maximize every last available HP on a race engine. That alone doesn't gain you much but doing several little things might add 1/4 HP and that might mean winning or losing a race. Basically what i'm saying is unless you're running a race car and NEED every last little bit of available power it's a waste of time and money.
