I put a 670 street avenger on my 305 k5 and it runs ok. It bogs a little when cold so I talked to a few friends and they said put a single plain edelbrok intake with a 1 to 2 inch rise. The problem with the bogging is that the original manifold can't handle that kind of flow. So my question is should i get a holley or eldebrock intake. My buddy says their both the same but the holley is more expensive. Anyone running something similar and if so are they having any problems with that set up? /forums/images/graemlins/k5.gif /forums/images/graemlins/thinking.gif

Could the problem be with your carb? Is a 670cfm carb too much for a 305? Just throwing that out there.

I have to agree with Chris, 670 is going to be to much for your 305. Thats to much for the little 305 /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

to find the cfm for your 305, you go like 'dis:
CFM= Engine C.I.D. x maximum RPM DIVIDED by 3456
