if so, what truck were they in?
There was some weird stuff out i n the early 70's I heard Dodge had a 5 lug D60. There is a 6 lug 14 though and would be a MUCH easier find. It is not a full floater thought it is a Semi floater. But it was a factory offering under Burbs. in the late 80's and in the 90's. It's part of a heavy duty towing package. I have heard that it also found it's way under some Z71's
yea, mopar put 5 lug dana60's under the rear of all 426 hemi powered or 440 with manual trans B bodies in the late 60's (66-71?). If you got the $$$ places like curry enterprises can custom make you a 6 lug one. The 14bolt SF is a decent rear end and they can be found (like Grim said) in newer GM's with 6 lugs (GM calls these 3/4 ton) but the perches and shock mounts will have to be moved to make it work in a pre '88 GM, but this is a cool swap because it is about 4'' wider than a 1/2 ton axle (pre '87).A few people on this board have found a relatively simple way to make a 14bolt FF 6 lug, try a search.
In petersons they had a 67(?) 1/2 ton 4wd ford with a rear stock d60
You can find 6 lug Dana 60s in the Jeep trucks, like the J20's and such. One paticular model had the 6 lug 60 with 35 spline axles stock.
A 6-lug rear Dana 60 was available in 67-68 Chevy/GMC half ton trucks. It was a semi-floater and are extremely rare. /forums/images/icons/grin.gif
you could get the 6 lug 14bsf
