id been missing the flame thrower exhausts from the old hot rods of the 50's, i guess some of the guys working on the ford super duty trucks felt the same way. check out this vid, if you think the flames out the exhaust are bad at idle, keep watching till the guy drives away. makes ya feel bad for anyone on a motorcycle.

fixed it for you :haha: :haha: :haha:

I had a Toyota pick up that failed emissions because it had no air pump on it.

So I moded a air punp from a chevy 350 on it it blew flames four feet out the exhaust and turned the whole custom exhaust right red. I was running a Holley 500 two barrel and near as I can figure the pump was acting like a bellows. First time I had ever seen a cat converter melt on the inside.

Well lets see, the 6.0 liter powerstroke went from Zero to suck in about 2 years, looks like the 6.4 is going to beat it.

Funny thing is, I thought Ford owns Cummins. Why can't they just give up the BS and put a BT in and make it a fair fight with Dodge?

because ford doesn't own cummins...

Ford used to have a stake in Cummins but they sold it years ago. They are trying to develop their own diesel to replace the Powerchoke.

The diesel in that video sounds like it's missing a piston....

Diesels always sound bad, but that one would be embarrassing to drive.

I was listening to it, and it sounds like a bad valve tick or something else is really messed up in that thing. I have worked on diesels for many years and that is just wrong.

my diesel dosnt sound bad........ its pretty quiet as far as diesels go actually, and i dont blow flames out the tail pipes :)

I guess I'm not keeping up very well.:o

It's sad to me in a way. I grew up with Chevy's but was a Ford truck fan until the 80's when they went FI and were such a PITA to work on - you had to take the VIN # to the parts store on my Bronco because they had 3 different setups that year and had to know which one you had to get parts. I switched back to Chevys until I bought my first diesel - and yes it was a 91 Dodge. Had a bumper sticker on it that said "Ford -vs- Chevy - Who Cares?

One of my boating buds had an 04 Powerstroke he used for work and boat pulling. Blew a head gasket at 31,000 and was down for 3 weeks. Started having problems again 10k later and was in and out of the shop several times.

Now has an 07 Duramax :D
