Well, it seems I have come to a crossroad in my build, my frame is pretty much wrapped up, and now i've moved my attention to the body...I can either, spend an arm and a leg in patch panels, and fix the blazer body, or for prob half the cost, buy a pickup cab, and turn my blazer, into a trazer. I really enjoy the room, and body of the blazer, but i'd just really like to avoid patching it up. I believe the only mod I need to run the pickup cab is the rear crossmember for the back of the cab. So..what do you guys think, fix the blazer, or build the trazer. :doah:

If you build the trazer, you can still use it to pick up beeches. So its win, win

Geo Metro wagon with the top removed , sitting on your frame . You can fit in crazy wild places with the body not touching rock , with lots of Beetches in it

Depends on how bad the body is. if your just talking rust in the wheel wells just so some major hacking to get rid of it. It the whole tub is trashed then Id probably look at a cab.

The whole tub on my K5 is just desimated. So Im gonna go with a pickup cab

check around in your local yards at their blazer tubs...i know the ones around here are like 250ish for cab clip and theyre basically rust free.

Well, the sections i need to replace are..the tailpan, bed section all the way to the back of the wheel wells, both rear corners of the passenger and drivers floor the entire drivers floor pan, it was rotted off the rocker. the patch panels will cost about as much or more then I could prob get a truck cab for. Broncoman, could you give me some pics of the mounts you made, and had to change to fit the pickup cab? I have a tranny crossmember I could mod to do the rear mounts, or just find a pickup and use the crossmember from it. thanks for the imput so far guys hah
