Ugh been a rough few days here. I appreciated all the thoughts as I reread some posts.

I'd appreciate any prayers you guy can spare, feel like we need all the help we can get

Yes sorry for the lack of detail. I tend to be fairly quiet about personal issues.
It's just become a time of major change in our lives, and we're not sure heads or tails if it's best.

Lots of hunker down and praying here. Once we are in the other side of this I will elaborate more

I'll send up a vague prayer for your vague request.

My turn. Each time I think I've hit bottom the floor falls out again. And then I feel like a wimp for griping. Not sure what to say, but stuff still doesn't seem right.

Praying for all you guys! Everyone goes through their own battles everyday, and we must remember that God's always there. God has never failed, and he won't start now.

Thanks. I'm still unhappy with how things are going, but I will take comfort in this thought.

Guys, I have a friend a couple hours from Greg who spent last night at the E.R. getting stitches. She's alleging spousal abuse but feels trapped in her situation by Kansas laws regarding marital property. She's just not willing to walk away from her stuff, at least not yet.

Pray that she will find her way out of this situation and back to safe ground soon. A long string of bad decisions (going back several years) has lead to this shipwreck, but it's still heartbreaking for me to watch.

I see these situations all the time. Not just women either. I know a lot of men that feel trapped and to be honest THIS is what my first marriage was like. I will be praying for her. I know what it's like. My concern was losing my kid.

I know these situations are common. Even for this particular friend, it's a fairly foreseeable consequence of past decisions, and not her first scrape with stupidity. For some reason it's really bothering me today. Not sure why.

On the brighter side, I am quite thankful today for the relative stability in my family relationships (a huge improvement from years past). We may not be stable, but at least the relationships can be. :wink1: :haha:

Well... still trying to figure out what God is up to. I turned down the job at Camp Bethel. Tough decision. I could have just went for it but I don't feel like the timing is good. Still praying for it. Someday I would love to be there.

We have been attending a different church for a couple weeks and helping with YG and that has been GREAT. Big changes but much needed.

Work has been ok. Not where I want to be though. I have been praying for something different and I feel like there is an opportunity in front of me. I have a major issue with what I'm doing. I love my boss. He is a friend of mine but there are some things that I can't stand about him on the business side of things. It also bothers me that I am struggling to provide while the other mechanic and I are raking in the cash for him. No need to go into details though. Like I said... I love the guy like a brother. I just feel like it is time to move on.

Soooooo.... I came across a lot here in town for a reasonable price and after praying about it I feel like God is giving me His blessing. In 2014 I was working out of my garage and that was awesome until the economy took a dive around here. My schedule was perfect. I worked 40-50 hours a week (sometimes I'd do 70-80 and take the next week off if needed) and I was able to spend a lot of time with my family and ministry. I feel like this is a definite possibility again. Except this time it will be a bigger shop and I won't end up being two blocked like I was in my garage. Plus it will be legal. Lol

Please pray for this. The church we are at is pretty small so the possibility of a paid youth pastor position are highly unlikely right now. Also I'm not sure how long the current leaders are going to stick it out and I'm not about to step on toes to get what I want. Not saying God couldn't do it. Just saying I don't see Him doing that anytime soon. Fortunately the economy is slowly picking up around here but it is still suffering. So now is a great time to move forward with this. I feel like I have a vision in my head of what it should be and I feel like God has laid some things on my heart about how I can use this to honor Him. They are looking at cutting the welding, metals, auto shop, and drivers ed courses at the HS. See what I'm thinking? We will see what happens!!!
