I was watching that race on ESPN2 when that happened /forums/images/graemlins/eek.gif
my dad works for michelin and was at the race in one of the porsche pits when it happened he was watching the monitors.
Jr. never made it to the race the wreck was in morning practice. he goated it to early in the S's and spun the rear wheels and lost it and he went to correct it like he would a stock car but those vette's don't quite play like the stock cars do and it hooked up hard before he expected it to. this sent him the opposite direction backwards into the tire barrier. what made it worse that he had a full fuel cell and the filler neck snapped and the ehsaust lit the fuel and Jr. was nearly unconsciene.
there was a scary view from a camera monted facing backwards in the rear of the car. when the rear clip was literally blown off in the explosion it sent fuel under the car towards the front.
dad told me that he heard that the first thing Jr. said was unless anything was burnt off he was racing next week! /forums/images/graemlins/peace.gif /forums/images/graemlins/peace.gif /forums/images/graemlins/peace.gif
