Just bought a CUCV for $625.

NP208 shifter. Never looked at anything besides the front axle to confirm it was a Dana 60, then I wrote a check, and drove it home.

:eek1: man i never find stuff like that:doah: good find:thumb:

It says on the other data plate

208 will be a 1008 or 1028 I believe. 1031s have 205s and 1010s obviously have a giant hole in the back for the ambulance.

I'm going to guess 1008. I think the 1028 has a higher gross weight rating. 9400lbs If my digital memory serves me right.

The VIN says D3 at the 5th and 6th digits. That's the Defense 30 which is military for K30.

Those tags won't say which M you have. That's on the other tag.

Also, what manual will you be putting in? My vote is for a nv3500.

The crazy thing is, I knew this was on an auction yesterday that I wanted to go to. I figured it would sell for nothing, but my bachelor party was yesterday, so I couldn't make it.

Today I got a text message from a number not in my phone that asked if I was intrrested in an 84 with a 6.2. I asked who it was. It was a guy I know that I've sold a bunch of parts to for cheap. He said it was a 1 1/4 ton with 4.55 gears. I asked if he bought it off the Stensness sale. He said yes, for $625. I asked how much he wanted for it, and he said just what he had into it, because it was too low geared for him.

I told him I'd take it, and I would be there shortly.

Pics now.

It was too dark. Picture an ugly K30 with a really poor flat black rattle can paint job with a snow plow, and some kind of silly lift gate, sitting on 33x12.50x15" BFG All Terrains on silly wide 15" white spokes with no back spacing. Solid rockers, but rotted cab corners.

I figured it was probably an M1008, but I figured I would check. Where is the other data plate?

I'm not sure what I'll do with it. Need to see it in the light first. I have an NV4500, but I also have a couple SM465/NP208 combos. I might also just cut it up.

Where is the plate on the door ? does it have overload springs? I think its just a 1028 or M1008
