Not sure if this is the right place to post this, but I just have to tell the world :D

I just picked up a 1990 3/4 ton suburban for $100.00
When i heard the asking price I was thinking ohh man there's going to be nothing left of it...

To my surprise the body is immaculate!

350/Turbo 400/ unknown transfer case (haven't crawled around it too much yet)

I was hoping for a 60 front but i ended up with a 10bolt and a Corp14 SF rear.
Ohhh well cant beat it for $100. There really isn't much I can use from it other than doors and bucket seats. But couldn't pass it up.
Anyway just thought I'd broadcast a lucky find. I plan on parting the thing out over the winter. Lemme know if anyone wants anything out of it. My goal is to get the thing gutted before I leave for the Border Patrol in the spring.

Welcome to the addiction and some advice. Sale it and run as far away as you can.

Any pics of your treasure?

If you plan to be around a while pay for membership when you can it is well worth it. You have access to posting in member sections and seeing pictures. This helps when you go to search for things also.

wow, thats a freakin steal! does it run ok? why did the guy sell it for so cheap?

sounds like an awsome deal! yes we need pics!

The guy is in his mid 60's and just doesnt want to deal with it anymore. The 350 has some miles on it but it'll be a nice spare. the Turbo 400 has some shift issues. But to be honest I have a spare SM465-NP205 laying around.
The Corp 14SF rear is toast, but he has a spare he is going to give to me.

I'm going to tow it home tommorow. It's less than a mile from my apartment and 3 miles from where i'll be parking it. I'll post some pics after I go get it.

Pictures

Here are some pictures I took. Not many as I was already late for work. The guy pretty much left it running on fumes. I found out it has no heat as we towed it home :doah: heh and it ran out of gas 1/2 way home. Still WELL worth it.

Looks nice and it has barn doors too. That is a good thing and it looks almost to nice to part. Body looks nice for the area (NY).

Good deal. If it's got electric mirrors I'm interested in parts. You would need to pony up for a membership here in order to properly post the sale of parts however.

Yeah, I need to purchase a membership here shortly. I didn't mean to break any rules. I wasn't really trying to sell it on here. I have it up on craigslist right now for best offer. If I don't get any bites I'll just part the beast out. Already have a buyer for the front clip.

Do you guys think it's a fair trade for a D60? Although I guess it depends on the buyer.
