K-5's in Hollywood Thread!

I'm really not happy about the idea of KITT being a Mustang in the upcoming movie. It's a sacrilige.

:eek1::eek1::eek1: WHAT??? Why the **** would they do that??? That'll piss a few people off...

I can't help but think of Benchwarmers when Jon Lovitz trys to do a burnout in the Kitt car and jumps and gets high-centered on the curb :haha::haha:

here are some pics of Fall guy in action. GMC actually

Also Dazed and Confused had a few in it.

Just the other day I watched the origanal "Dukes of Hazzard". There was quite a few old chevys in that. Keep in mind that show started in like 1978.

IDK. Why did they make that crappy "Team Knight Rider" show in the 90s and use a bunch of stupid kids and lame Fords? I really liked the original show as a kid, but i can't get on-board for this. I was even able to tolerate the all the changes in Transformers. Most of them were logical changes. It was stupid how Megatron used to be a huge robot that shrank down into a gun small enough for starscream to hold. How does that work? :dunno:

So what's next? B.A. Baracas driving a Honda Element and Face trading in his c4 vette for a Scion XB?

And for some more movie old GM trucks:

"Ernest Goes to Camp" - Krader (the bad guy) drove a GMC Sierra Grande. One of his EEs had a GMC 3/4 ton parked in one scene. 68?

"Ernest Saves Christmas" - 1981 C10

"Terminator" - 70s c10 (final chase - Sarah driving, Reese attacking Arnold)
"Terminator 3" - 69 c10 (John Connor hitches a ride after crashing his bike), 87 c30 Ambulance, Several 80s Military Vehicles outside the blast doors of Crystal Peak.

"Spy Game" - '73 K5
"Evil Dead II" - K5 not sur of year. only saw if from behind briefly
"Karate Kid II" - crappy movie, but it had a k5
"Universal Soldier" - K5 in the dark. iirc it was a mid-80s
"Lake Placid" - park ranger or cop or something had a k5
"Commando" - Matrix (Arnold) rolls his k5 it down a dang hill in neutral
"Blues Brothers" - might have been an early 70s one on the street
"Jurassic Park 2" - there was a k5, i think.
"Sliders" - i loved that show and it had an early 70s k5
"Swamp Thing" - at least one k5
"Joshua Tree" - cops had k5
"pee-wee's big adventure" pretty sure there was a k5 parked behind him in one scene
"renegade" lame show, but the cops had k5s pretty often
"Stargate SG-1" - government officials and stuff have had k5s. same with x-files
"supernatural" - the old demon hunter guy drives a k10 with a bunch of guns in the back.
"Varsity Blues" - can't forget the big blue pickup. probably more show than go, though.

all the old shows like chips and macgyver probably had some.

the varsity blues truck was on ebay not too long ago and the last action hero truck was on CL here in texas for a while. saw it at a car show about six months ago.

I am watchin the movie now. He steals a nice 69-72 chevy from outside the strip club and runs it into the kennel.

I believe the highlighted one was in the first movie wasn't it??

Red Dawn several K5s in the shots of them fleeing through town and also Russians driving one in the mountains and getting killed.

A lot of B movies on Sci-Fi the cops have Blazers (80's style) when it takes place in upper N.W.

Yea in Fargo the end shot shows a Blazer taking dude to jail on the highway.

There is a new Arby's commercial with a red & white two tone k5.

and i mentioned the Arby's commercial in post #15 :o.

no more mentioning the Arby's commercial! - new man law (but apparently it's ok for me to mention a beer commercial with no k5 at all).

Don't take my word for it on T3. It's been too long since i saw it. I even remembered the one he stole as being a ford :o. that's messed up.

there was a similar one in the first movie, but i think it was a '70. the one i was referring to for t3 was in the beginning right after john crashed his bike trying to avoid the deer.

I believe there's a genuine K5 in a chase scene in De Ja Vu with Denzel Washington, or it might be Shooter. It was a DVD that came out last May, can't remember. Exciting though. :D

Hey I just saw this commercial with a red/white K5 in it. That and a chick that gets nekkid. Can't remember what they were pushing though.:dunno: Skinny dipping?:dunno::saweet::woot::tongue1::whistle::haha:

Red Dawn-1984. Flipping through channels and caught it, 4 so far! Sweet lookin early 70 something blue stepside 4x4! Also the bumper sticker close-up "They can have my gun when they pry it from my cold dead fingers!" was on the tailgate of a black Blazer with Colorado plates! There's also a late 60/early 70's 2wd Chevy pickup that's blue too! OOO! There's another, the Russians are driving around in a 73-75 full convertible K5 with the top off!:D
