k, ill shae with EVERYBODY....

I was trying to be funny about the "eleet" thing and apparently it flopped. I suppose when you spend as much time on IRC as I do you get used to seeing people say the various forms of "elite". leet, eleet, ereet..

It must've been someone else's Blazer who lived in Arizona that I last saw a picture of in a garage with mighty nice lookin' fenders. I didn't know things rusted that far south? I always wondered what it'd be like to live somewhere where things wore out before they rusted out. If they were that bad I wouldn't mind taking a sawzall to them either. I just thought for sure that your Blazer was the one I saw that only had minimal rust on it.

You had me worried about the yellow primer.. I'll admit to it. It's rather nice looking to be primer. Does it sand well? Or is it like red oxide and it'd be easier to sand regular paint? I suppose since the paint was the right price (free) it won't be so bad to have an orange frame.

Don't get me wrong, I get everything you're doing. The completely missing front fenders is a bit much for my tastes. I'm one of those people that likes a pretty body. I passed on a killer truck only because the guy cut the fenders to fit 40s. How are you going to keep mud and water out of the doors and interior? What are you going to do about inner wheelwells?

Uhh....This is Arizona....When it rains here,we all go crazy and take our yearly showers!! /forums/images/icons/cool.gif I wish it would rain more often.I don't run inner wheelwells and I'm fine with it.MUD?????what the heck is that??Grant I still like them fenders...I could see myself doing that(and anyone who knows me would'nt be surprized!).Are you gonna run doorless or half doors??Mike

no harm no foul.
my blazer may have been the one you are talking about. the thing is that the pictures you may have seen dont show the real rust in the hard to see areas that pictures dont show.
as for doors and interior.. what are those? i dont have any doors, nor will i have much interior. just roll cage, shifters and guages.
also my blazer is ORIGONALY from washington, i bought it in oregon, had it in cali for a few years and now it is here. so it has a fair share of rust on it.
i am going to rivet some angle iron to the outside edges of the fenders and radiator support. it will add strength and a tire nice edge. i got the side marker lights mounted today. i just need to find the front markers. not sure if i even have them. might have to buy some boat lights or something.
thing is i have to score some angle iron for free... might be a bit hard to do.

like i said before i have 2000.00 in my truck(correction 2500.00) including springer suspension. i am working on putting 52 inch rear leafs on the front, but not sure if i want to do it or not.
i am going to run 42 or 44 inch tires. if they make them bigger(to fit on 15 to 16.5 inch rims), but i dont think they will be DOT then. problem since i want to be able to drive on the road some times.

I would love to go to the buggy spring set up and a custom unit in the back but need another daily driver before I start the transformation to 1 ton with all these cool goodies. Just finished the new motor and still working out all the bugs, hopefully the conversion will all start next spring. 44's sound so good...patience is sometimes a hard thing to have /forums/images/icons/grin.gif
