What is your first choice for an oil filter? I picked up an K&N oil Filter from Autozone, I'm actually just under my mileage. Figured I'll be doing more towing this year so if I can keep this motor another year, I'll give this a shot. What do you guys use?

yup, that's why I'll run em in a pinch when I can't get Wix..

wix or acdelco for me. Ive heard k&n makes good oil filters.

Only one Ive heard not to use is fram. I know several engine builders that hate them.

That's one expensive oil filter!!! What does cleaning/changing the filter element entail?

I had a choice between fram and the K&N so I went this way. I don't think this one is cleanable. I do like the nut on the bottom, just helps make one thing easier.

I should post up.some pictures of some filters I cut apart. Amazing how bad
Fram, STP, Pennzoil filters are.

And yes, I run wix also.

I cut open a fram the other day on a jeep at work with no oil pressure. I was far from impressed with what was in there.

I only use mopar or wix. Oh wait, wix makes the mopar filter too.

A really well made filter is a new one called

Pentus <<<< spelling?

At least a few years old. But all metal ends, solid working by pass. Solid construction.
