[ QUOTE ]
I'm down to $7000. Time to advertise elsewhere. I'll put the truck on eBay in the next couple days.

Probably. Although I'm parting out the trail rig to get this thing, so I'll need somebody to ride with at the runs man!

"Oil Burner Junkie"

I like that. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

For those that may wonder what happened to the beast, I picked it up this weekend and drove it down to Texas. It handled the 1000 mile drive well and actually rode pretty smooth. I'm very happy with the truck but I echo the sentiments of this thread. John will miss this rig. Although his new rig is pretty cool. It has...get this...a 6 speed tranny AND a Gear Vendors OD!!!

I am missing it. Hope my new one can pull the toys as well. I'd have to say that was the best truck I've had (snif). If you knew how many I've had over the years, that'd mean something. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif I've had some new ones too, but nothing as strong, capable and reliable. Brian failed to mention the coolant leak problem he had on the way home. Classy guy. /forums/images/graemlins/waytogo.gif

edit: You guys should have seen the big grin on his face while doing the acceleration and braking tests during the test drive. Oh, same for the other two passengers. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

I think the coolant leak is going to be an easy one John. Just a couple gaskets and I'm in bizness...they should be here Thursday!

I echo the big goofy grins. By the end of that drive, Dan was offering the slowmaro for a trade on it, and Tyler was drooling on himself like a lunatic in a padded room! But I was the one that remembered my checkbook and the rest is history now!

i would be smileing too that is a nice rig if only......

the pic above makes the ass end look saggy what with that?
and enjoy that rig!! /forums/images/graemlins/waytogo.gif /forums/images/graemlins/waytogo.gif /forums/images/graemlins/bow.gif

So how good is acceleration? I just need to know that so I can feel worse for not being able to get it. /forums/images/graemlins/doah.gif

Glad to see it went to a good home. /forums/images/graemlins/waytogo.gif

Lets just say it can hold its own quite nicely /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

Truck actually sits level, but being so long, it looks low in the rear. Most trucks sit high in the rear and that's what you're used to seeing. However this truck has a camper special rear spring pack from hell and has little to no squat with a trailer or load in the bed.

Acceleration? It rocks man...I had an '02 HO Cummins and this truck might have a slight edge over it in the power dept...and that's awesome!

I (along with every other sane person on this board) would have loved to have that truck! I'm just happy to see you took it out of the rust belt. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

/forums/images/graemlins/doah.gif I knew I shouldn't have asked.

I'm stuck towing with my "slug" (what I call my Crew Cab). I really like mine, and it always gets the job done, but it's just not very quick about doing it.

At least I get 6mpg!!! Oh wait. That sucks too.
