K30 with a 6.2

Installed the damper today (old one was junk), finished the holley red pump lift pump, replaced all the hoses at the engine with pushloc hose and replaced the fuel filters, built the oil drain and installed the pressure line, welded an elbow on to the out let of the hx35 to get it pointing up, cleaned up a bunch of wireing the last owner hacked off. Tomorrow I will turn up the pump, replace the intake, finish installing the turbo and oiling and start on the turbo to intake piping.

I took limited pictures today.
Turned up the pump.
Installed the intake.
Installed the manifold with the turbo and kept working on the drain.

Also when I turned up the pump I turned it up 1/2 a turn. This is 1/4 more than the banks kit suggested. From what I understand with the bigger turbo I should be able to use the additional fuel and it will boost more. It has another 1/8th in it but for now if it makes good power and the egts are reasonable I will be happy.

Cause a) the vee band style flange that was on the turbo was beat up bad and after filing it I was worrried it wouldn't seal. B) unless I wanted to cut the waste gate mounts off the inlet housing, clock it and reweld them it points right at the inner fender.

I didn't have the elbow for it, the v clamp, the flange had huge dings in it. Of course I am wrong anyway. Did a lot today, since most of it will be wrong I will just keep it to myself.

why, i already know it won't meet the marty standard. i will post the dyno run tomorrow.

Fine
I finished this this morning. It is the oil drain back plate that goes over where the fuel pump plate not pretty but it doesn't leak.

This is the down pipe full wrapped and will be sealed with paint tomorrow.

The rest of my exhaust. The muffler is crooked on purpose to clear the driveshaft.

Had to get a shorter belt for the alternator because it was too close to the inlet housing.

I installed new glow plugs and spent the rest of the day installing the radiator and inlet piping. This is pretty ugly but it took this to clear the coolant level sensor and oil piping on the radiator.

Seriously considering welding the air cleaner housing together and using it as the inlet hat.
