K5- Rear Privacy Glass

Folks

How do I roll down the privacy glass after removing the motor from the truck. I tried putting a battery back in but I got no power to the ignition. I forgot to roll the glass down before I pulled motor and trans. This is a power controlled rear glass.

I want to keep the tailgate and top for later use on my new truck.

Use a drill hooked to the cable that the motor would have been hooked to.

Just remove the switch on the dash and put power to the bottom wire. You can use jumper cables to apply the power. Don't forget to ground the body.

ha i did the same thing when i was gutting my blazer. i just cut the wire by the tailgate, took the battery ran a wire from the ground to the hinge and the positive wire to the exposed wire i cut

You don't have to cut them. They plug into the main wire harness in the back by the frame rail.
