Did anyone know Lamborghini made an SUV in 84?
Read about it here....
it's ungodly heavy threr used to be one in ft lauderdale fla but he sold it
I knew about it and was talking to my wife about it like 2 weeks ago. LOL!
It was nicknamed "The Rambo Lambo" or "Rambo's Lambo" /forums/images/icons/laugh.gif
Yeah, I remember back when I saw the Hummer for the first time I thought "Hey, that's alot like that Lamboghini, but with a whole lot less power..."
I think were showing our age here Shaggy. /forums/images/icons/wink.gif
there was one on ebay a while back.
They are ungodly heavy.....Tina Turner has/had one...if I remember right, they had the same engine as the Countach...they could run dunes/fire roads at 90mph....also remember readin' that the Kuwait Border Patrol (or some other raghead Baywatch org.) had a fleet of them they used as patrol vehicles...something like $110K in 1980's money... /forums/images/icons/grin.gif
According to the link, some (the early ones) had Countach motors some (the newer ones) had Diablos. /forums/images/icons/shocked.gif
hehe oh yeah
still have the motor trend from when they did a special on lamborghinis in 85-86?, i wanted that thing so bad back then, i mean i loved trucks, and the lambo v-12 in it?
sure i was like 7 then, but even at seven i knew how awesome an suv with a v-12 was...
tried to convince my parents to get one, but the family income was less than 20gs a year, and this was a wee bit out of our price range...
but i remember having pics of it up on the wall just to stare at thinking one day i'll be a millionaire and have 3 of them...but unfortunately that hasnt happened yet..hehe
its called an lm-002. sadly enough it topped out at 120. not to good for a lamborghini.
Haha, I can't beleive that you mentioned the Motor Trend Lambo special edition! I distinctly remember almost wtting myself when I found that mag in the store back in the mid 80s /forums/images/icons/laugh.gif . I even remember why I was buying it - I was flying to my Grandma's house in Indiana and needed reading material on the plane. That magazine was so dogeared a couple years later because my brother and me read it so much. 15 years later I can still see alot of the pics that were in it in my head, that's how many times I read the thing /forums/images/icons/grin.gif Unfortuneatly it was lost in a move somewhere along the line... /forums/images/icons/frown.gif
