last lift question...promise

ok guys im on a roll now just one last question.i got shims to get my pinion up so do the shims go between the springs and the top of the block or between the perch and the block?ive got them between the springs and doesnt look like it wants to seat but my driveshaft alignment is much better.

ok guys not completely figured out....when i put the shims in the tab on the spring seat doesnt appear to be long enough.i called a drivetrain shop that says they should be never heard of anyone having trouble.any suggestions or comments before i go insane

They are supposed to go between the perch and the spring/block.

Im not sure if its a good practice to stack blocks and shims but i could be wrong. Just my .2
