I got a tailgate off a mid 80s truck installed on my K5 today but the latch doesn't unlatch when you pull the handle. The problem is I don't see anyway to get to the inside of the tailgate. There are some screws but the tailgate is tack welded all of the way around. I can see the linkage below the handle and I know for sure that at least one rod is connected but neither latch moves. Sorry but I didn't do a search before I typed this but I didn't want to waste all of these keystrokes. Thanks!
