Re: Let\'s see your camping photos...
I wish the photo had come out, but here's a camping story for yeah.
It was last summer, and me my girlfriend, my best bud and his girl all decided we wanted to go camping someplace different. So we logged on to
Reserve America and began searching for a cool place to camp. Bam! we found it
Bahia Honda in Key West, Florida. It was exotic, far away from us (MASS) and right on the beach!! So we're trying to figure out how we want to get there. And we're having problems trying to find a rental car co because of our ages, so as a last ditch effort we checkout Greyhound. And it ended up being really cheap, so we packed everything we needed and 36hours later we were there. /forums/images/graemlins/yikes.gif NEVER AGAIN!!!!
That was the first of the funny incidents. The second happened on our first night, we set-up our tent and site and went to the beach (50 ft from our site) It was awesome, the beach, the water. Awesome!! But later that night it RAINED all night long. Everything got soaked, us the tent, the sleeping bag. And the next day we were bumming, because we had heard the weather was going to be nice the whole trip. So the sun came out and we opened up the tent, and took everything out to dry out. And we left to go explore the Keys. After a long day of sight seeing, we're coming back to the site and see some dark clouds coming our way. And I say outloud to everyone, "Wouldn't it suck if it started raining right when we got to the gate, and then were forced to drive 5mph back to the site!" (a good 5 minute drive)
Needless to say, we turn into the campgrounds gate and someone turned on the water. It poured like i had never seen before. So we take the longest drive of my life to the campsite to find the tent knocked down with a swimming pool in it, and all our possesions completely soaked!!! We couldn't believe it. We all slept in the van that night.
So the next day we went and re-did the site, and bought a big tarp, and guess what...It didn't rain again for the next 10 days /forums/images/graemlins/doah.gif That's my story
