Guns Can Can,,, Guns.. I know you didn't think of that because you're Canadian...:D ;)

Anyway does anybody have anything to say about the TC encore that has 86 interchangeble barrels??? I just saw this in a mag and was wondering if these things hold up to being taken apart and put back together all the time and wanted some views firsthand... http://www.tcarms.com/TC_HTML/TC_Enc_R.htm

I can't get one here in Cali for some reason. But, I have heard, read and seen nothing but good things about them. They are durable, as you would expect from a major firearms company. If I could get my hands on one, I wouldn't hesitate to buy it.

Can't be that much different from the Contendor, and they have been around at least 30 years. Used to be, the .45 LC barrel had a choke on the end of it, so you could shoot .410 shells also!!!

A guy I work with had an Encore, he said the thing was damn near indestructible. He reloads and he said the only reason he broke it is because he loaded a round WAY too hot (like 30gr over) and it broke the pivot pin. The action was still totally fine, as was the barrel.

And, you can shoot a 7mm Rem. Mag. in a handgun. Wonder what that's gotta be like....

Cool thing is once you get the action, the barrels don't need FFL

I've got a Contender with a couple barrels. The barrel you DO NOT want is the 10" .223 Rem. Unless you like fireballs and going deaf thru your hearing protection.
Also, 170gr .30-30 factory loads hurt. More than hopped up 265gr. .44 Mag loads and definitely more than hopped up 300gr. .44 Mag loads.

Contenders are the shizzel. I'd love to have one. I had a friend that had a .223 bbl... it was kick ass. :thumb: Do they make a .444 Marlin bbl? now that would really rock. Talk about a great backup gun in bear country.
