This is a draft of an open letter to the troups somewhere fighting for us. I have also been sharing some of your comments and thanks with him. My dad is quite impressed a bunch of strangers could have this online club and that I wasnt the only person obsessed with the chevy blazer. He sends his thanks to all of you supporting the troups in any way. Challenges: Stepping Stones or Stumbling Blocks > Challenges can be stepping stones or stumbling blocks. Challenges are the moral fiber for which we build our character. It's just a matter of how you view and weave the fiber into your lives. The men and woman of 321st for the past 120 plus days have accepted and exceeded all challenges; we have felt the exhilaration of victory. Yes, we have done our time; however, more is required before we go home. Now is the time to reach within yourselves and focus your efforts to stay mentally and physically sharp; good, better, best, never, never rest, 'til the good is better, and the better is best; we've filled volumes of history books based on this adage alone. During this critical time in history, Operation IRAQI FREEDOM and Operation ENDURING FREEDOM is the number one game on earth and you made it happen. Many challenges remain for all of us who've been here for what feels like years. What happens next will determine if America will live in fear or live free of fear. The war on terrorism and its supporters have not disappeared. We must not allow them to decide how we, as Americans, will live our lives, nor allow any group to decide how our kids and great, great grandchildren will live their lives either. This is not the time to look over your shoulder and see who will step-up and exceed mission requirements or what other person will take the time to listen and care for our number one recourse "Our People" now more than ever we must look within ourselves and find the moral courage to finish this deployment stronger and safer than when we started. Take your place in history and continue to defend our way of life, do not spend your days looking for who will replace you. We are in the fight now! We must not let our guard down or spend our days looking for replacements. Now is the time to dig deep within yourselves and do what you can to protect our way of life. Your actions today will affect people in ways that most will never, or for that matter can't understand and take for granted. Our character is shaped by those decisions and the world is watching, chalange yourself to finish strong and leave Camp Justice and the world a better place once your task at hand is done and more importantly, we can always say we did our best to the very end and then some in shaping history. Our leadership is second to none! We must believe that everything that can be done is being done to rotate us back to the Promised Land and our loved ones. It all comes down to one simple question: Do I have the moral courage and character to use this extended deployment challenge as a stepping-stone or a stumbling block? It's all up to you and you alone.
