WA License Plate Trading Post

I have some old solid yellow OR plates, some newer blue/green OR plates. I will post up some pics later tonight.

I forgot to take pics... I will have to get them this weekend. It has been a busy week for me.

Here is a pic of some of the plates I have to trade:

I can start my own thread if you want, but I am also interested in trading/buying old plates.

I just traded for NE plates with you. I did receive your plates. The yellow OR plate and license plate frame I sent you were the originals off of my old '79 K10.

Yeah, I was just posting up that I was interested as well. That's why i said I could start a different thread if you wanted. Were you happy with the three plates that I sent you?

Martin

You do have your own thread ;) but yes, they looked good. Now to track down the other 30 or so states I am missing...

You've got a head start on me. I only have six states so far.

New to this thread. I can get Iowa plates for the collection (either one or both, if interested)

Sure, might as well get a couple at a time since it doesn't cost any extra to ship. Two of them fit in one flat rate envelope. I would prefer a couple different styles if possible. Are you interested in plates in trade?

As far as I know, Iowa has never issued two standard styles of plate concurrently (going back at least as far as the 70s). Vanity styles are available for an extra fee (I have a ham radio plate, for example), but most of them bear pretty close resemblance to the standard issue plates. Although, each county issues its own plates, so you could say that the state has one plate for each of the 99 counties.

Their current style, other than recently changing the lettering from blue to black, was adopted around 1995, IIRC. I can get you that style fairly easily.

What plates do you have to trade? :ears:

My "either one or both" comment was directed toward Martin. I should be able to round up plates for either or both of you.

I'm thinking two different time frames. Like one current one and one from an older parts rig that hasn't been registered in a while. I know they change the look periodically.
