I'm thinking about lifting my bone-stock 73 K10 with 4 inches.
The only thing holding me.back is, will I have to lengthen the driveshaft to do it?

I've been out of this game.for a bit, someone remind me.

I lifted my blazer 4 inches, rear shaft moved back maybe half inch, front less than that. I doubt you need new shafts, depending on how much you abuse it.

In my past I lifted a 77 K5 and 77 K20 4 inches, and wheeled the crap out of them with stock shafts no problem.

Short or long wheelbase? You keep telling us you have this rust bucket, how about some pictures?

Will get them in the morning, I have to go register it tomorrow.
It's really not much to look at. Rusty old truck that the previous owner sprayed with blue and white paint, right over the rust holes and bubbling original paint. Oh, it's a shortbox.

Hey, i like blue and white rust buckets.

When i lifted my LWB, i ran it on the stock driveline for a month, fit was fine. Had some other issues with the carrier bearing, and extra play in the slip yoke, plus wanting 1350s yielded the change.

I ran stock length driveshafts on my 73 with 4 inch lift. Didn't have to change anything till I went with 6 inch lift.

Just did mine. 4". Rear no problem. Barely moved. Front I have to message the ears on the cv. I don't see a problem with anything else.
