hey guys. i am going to be installing an 8" skyjacker suspension lift on my 87 k5. couple questions first:

    1) comments on skyjacker... (half the price of the superlift)
    2) what will need modification... (extending driveshafts, etc)

i can find my way around the truck, but this is my first suspension install... anything i should know?

I did my 4" lift myself it was pretty simple on a solid axles.
It would be easier if you have a buddy to help you.Air tools
are a must unless you got arms like a gorilla!! You will need
a longer driveshaft over 6". And make sure the diffs angle
right if you don't have the CV joints in the driveshaft by the
transfercase. I don't know much about skyjackers but the
front springs will probably flatten after a few years. Mine
did with the superlift on a 79' blazer. Good Luck!!
