Got a 94 obs chevy half ton 12" lift monster 400 trans divorced np205. As yall know chevy is rh drop ford is left hand. Well I was gonna clock it like a scs drop box but thought that hung down to low so my question is can I turn the ford lh drop 205 completely upside down for it to work? It's been rebuilt with new bearings and everything. Chevy 1 ton axles 513 gears and 44s

There was a right up on pirate where a guy did that. Didn't flip it, but swapped input with output n vise versa.

I fixed a truck for a guy with gm/dodge axles . We set the t-case dead center for same length shafts . Next we dropped it a little and clocked it a little . Set shafts for 1410 joints for most strength and angle . Mid shaft we did 1350 at trans and c/v head for input to t-case . Used a np208 front output flange with specific seal to get c/v head bolted up to 205 input.

Its not hard just a little time . She run the highway 60-65mph no problem on 46" tires with 4.10 gears ( what was in it not my choice ) . If you search my screen name and divorced it should show up here.

Here info for input swap . In this post i used 1 on output . But divorced is same seal housing on its 32 spline input .

So pretty much take the output shaft and that solid plate and switch them and everything fit and work perfectly?

It's been over 10 years since I read it, but don't think it was too difficult. SweetK30 described it better than me lol...
