I finished spray painting the back of my cluster chrome today and noticed several of the sockets on my cluster were missing. I was wondering if anyone knows where I could order some new ones and what size I need. I was also wondering about these two bulb sockets that actually have wires coming from them. I figured out one was for the 4x4 but I have no clue where the other one plugs in since they were unhooked when I opened it up.

Thanks

If you don't get a response i'd be willing to take apart the dash in my parts truck and send you the sockets. Just throwing that out there if need be ;)

I would really appreciate that man. Let me know and I would gladly send you some money through paypal for them.

I'll have to look but the sockets may differ a bit from one year to another :dunno: Looks like you have an 80's model and i think the dash in my truck may be older. Can't remember. :doah:

As for the money them things can't cost that much. It wouldn't cost much to package them or ship either so i'm not worried about that ;)

The trucks already gettin parted so it'd be no big deal at all

One of the light bulb sockets, does it have a fairly stiff wire that has a weird end on it? That would be the fiber optic piece for the ash tray.

4WD is the only other standalone wiring harness/bulb I can think of, except when you start talking about diesel trucks, as the early ones of those also had separate wiring harnesses for some of the lights, like the coolant light, etc.

I wouldn't really call the wire stiff but the wire going to it is much thinner than the 4x4's bulb. my ash tray does not have a light so that may be what it is. I'm pretty sure the end looked like the rest but I can not recall I'll have to look at it again. I appreciate the help guys. I'm starting to really love this site.

Edit: I just looked and I think I see the fiber optic wire your talking about. it looks like it been cut. The wiring on this thing is crazy. I think the guy had no idea what he was doing.

I have an 85 truck I parted, if yours was butchered, I could send you the parts you need, cheap, just for my time and shipping.
Let me know

I'll have to get a list together but my truck isn't to bad. I'm mostly just looking for small stuff right now. PM how much you want for the sockets and I'll send the money off to you.

I'm pretty sure I have some extra sockets, too, if you just need a few.
