WOW,i need to get up earlier.morning starts when i get up. maybe 2pm. but then i'm in the detroit area. so i'm a little behind ya Eric.i already fed the chickens and spent time at work when you get up.
I'm still finishing my last beer.
Things will change...soon.
Grandpa is gone too...
Al Lewis, who played the part of "Grandpa" on the Munsters also passed away not that long ago..he lived here in MA,and was spotted at many Red Sox games at Fenway Park as recently as last summer--still looked just the same, with his cigar and that big grin of his!...
I still watch "The Munsters" when it comes on..always got a kick out of that show..and the "Adam's Family" too...I've been nicknamed "Lurch" by several friends over the years, because I kinda look and talk like he did..I think that guy died too,a long time ago..
Seems like all the greats we grew up with are dissapearing fast..pretty soon EVERY actor on "TV Land" will be dead..the other night as I was watching,I started counting all those that have passed on in the shows they carry..
Red Fox (Sanford and Son)
John Ritter (3's Company)
Don Knotts (AKA "Barney Fife","Mr.Limpett",was on Andy Griffith show, and 3's Company)
Carrol O'Connor (Archie Bunker on "All In The Family")
and just about every other actor on that channel..
Like the song the Kinks sang.."Celluloid hero's never really die"...
Lurch (TedCassidy)died in 1979. He was only 46. He also was "Thing"
Did it for me when I was a kid!
It's funny you know, look at some of those old movies from the 50' and 60s, women just aren't made like that anymore. Watch any Cary Grant, Boggart etc movie and there are such beautiful women on them. Real women!!
