Looks like they're moving pretty good...
I bet that critter ain't cheap.
Last year we did a week on a houseboat on Trinity Lake (near Shasta, Cams neck of the woods) and one family brought one of those up. The kids were getting major air and I thought for sure somebody would face plant it. Nobody got injured but I was reticent to get on it.
Uhhhh a faceplant into water at 30+ mph is gonna hurt. Have to wonder how stable one of those are when it comes to doing a cartwheel on the end of the rope...
But it do look fun
I read about 2 weeks ago somewhere that they were banned, because people have died.
my cousin got one of these for his boat. I haven't had time to go with him and actually try it but from what I've heard it's harder than it looks to make work right. And I guess everyone came home with bruises. I can't wait to try it
Maybe at certain lakes. Looks like you can still buy it though. http://www.sevylor.com/towables.html. Looks like a similar product is in trouble though: http://www.cpsc.gov/cpscpub/prerel/prhtml06/06210.html
I also heard "they" put pressure on the company to recall them.
cool. Looks like amsteel rope too.
They oughta attach a winch to the back of the boat and when the guy gets air, you just reel him out so he can fly higher and higher. 500' of line would prolly be enough to get up purdy high.
Excellent advice they give; “Never soar higher than you are willing to fall.”
hey, if that crazy guy can jump a motorcycle 350 feet, not make the intended target... crash and stuff and still live... falling a little ways into water shouldn't be a problem.
