LS engine adapters are up on the site

i kind of like the idea of a pinch bolt on the 4th hole now . :waytogo:

should check to see if thay fit 2wd also i know lots of guys would buy them .

In this ebay add there is a horrible picture, but just FYI for everyone, if your motor mount back side looks like this and has the "raised up" area between the bolt holes, they will not bolt right up to mounts like this. THey will need either ground flat, or spacers used. I had this issue with mine(from a different company) as did xp3ndabl.

So the clamshell will bolt to these plates if we wanted to stay stockish

I have a few at the shop that the factory ones would work and a couple that won't.

As y5mgisi pointed out, not all are flat on the back side. You'd also have to drill the center hole at the top of course.

We could possibly make a cut out in the 3/8" thick plate to accomodate the factory mounts but haven't looked at how big that hole would have to be. I don't think i'd try it with the aluminum ones we have, steel would handle that a little better.

When I get a chance i'll look at it a little closer.

Kert, Im not sure if your familiar with them, but the trucks that have the torque struts from the motor mounts to the "dust cover" on the trans had plates that went behind the motor side mounts. Those plates had a cut out section for that raised area to recess into.

Yep, I am familiar with those. Pretty much what I was thinkin' about when I suggested the cut out. Shouldn't be hard to do but not very doable on the aluminum ones, we've already cut and put on the shelf.

Kinda rushed to get these on the website, bunch of guys hitting me up for them since babanagoosh posted them up on his build.

I just had to come back and look at that again.

Ha. What I was referring too is using the stock mounts and clamshells. Some applications I do I like to retain as much factory stuff as possible. Mounts in this case.

I have a hand full of clamshells I will look at to see the differences between the backs

Cool man. Just wanted to make sure you had evry angle covered! Ill be buying my next set from you!

What position does these mounts put the motor? Bellhousing in stock position?

Also, what's the deal with oil pan clearance?

What LS motors will fit with these mounts, and no crossmember issues?

These actually mount the engine slightly forward. We'll be releasing a 7/8" offset very soon. The set you see in babanagoosh's thread were the prototypes. Unfortunately, right now I can't do any test fitting at the shop.

I don't believe his trans is actually up on the crossmember which is leaving his pan clearance very small/tight. The 7/8" offset mounts would also help in this regard.

We will be making a cutout for the triangled bump on the steel ones for sure on the straight up mount you see here. I didn't have time to look at the triagle cut out on the 7/8" offset.

As for what LS motors will fit, we're working on that. I think the truck pan is the biggest one.

Hey Kert wonder if these will fit other GM vehicles, got 81 Malibu I need some LS motor plates for it. Ill probably order a set and see if they work, if they don't that means Ill be closer at putting a ls motor in my truck... :D

I run these on a 71 c/20 with a 2003 5.3 and they work awesome. I have about an inch clearance between the oil pan with the truck pan.

Gotten a few different reports back from customers using them on different models.

Some times its a bolt in deal and others some hole drilling is required. I don't think anybody has sent them back and said they didn't work at all.

I would almost have to bet, some are being welded in.
