Hey guys, its been awhile, and im in a bit of a jam. Im gonna need the tailgate on my truck to take some **** to the dump on saturday but....

The tailgates not on the truck. I have the mouting brackets, but im missing the 4 bolts to the bottom brackets to the hinge. Are the same as the bolts that mount the top brackets? I hope so, because i can just grab new bolts at ace.

Speaking of the top bracket bolts, they're all there, but pretty tight, nothing some WD40 cant fix, BUT... One of the bolts is loose. It looks like whatever it was screwed into inside the body snapped and now its just loose, and therefore i cant get it out. Suggestions? I wont be able to get a new bolt in there either it seems so.. im not even sure how im going to get the tailgate to lock if i do get it out.

Basically i just need the tailgate on the truck and secure, then ill take it back off. any suggestions on how to mount it with these problems, or jury rig it?

Those should have captured or welded nuts on the inside, which has broken loose and is now spinning with the bolt. I'd try drilling a hole next to the bolt hoping to catch a corner of the nut inside, then drive a small punch into the hole to hold the nut from spinning.

Oh no, the nut is no longer attached, not only does it spin freely, but it moves in an out too. It looks like if i remove the tail light i can access it, just not sure what im going to do once i get it out..
