M1008 frame number....where is it

If you are refering to the VIN # it should be stamped into the top of the drivers side frame rail under the cab. If the truck is assembled you will need a mirror to see it.
OK I will check that tomorrow.Is that the place for the VIN of all trucks or is it only the M1008´s /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif.

It's just the only place I have ever seen them stamped. But all the frames I have found it on were pickups.
'81 K5 was on DS frame rail top underneath drivers seat.
Earlier (at some point, not sure on years) were on top of frame next to steering box, or on the opposite frame rail same place. Never seen them on the rear of the frame, but since location obviously changed a few times, I wouldn't doubt that is the standard for later ones.
