M1028- [under new management]

I recommend them. Tell them I sent you. That is where I am doing my 6.2 diesel turboing and before/after dynoing.

Nice! How much do you expect the journey to turbo-land will cost? I've tossed that idea around but if I had to remove the engine for any reason I think I'd just go with a big block.

In other news I just went to pay some of my bill today at Inland.. Approx. $500 in parts, $750 IN LABOR. Jesus what a kick in the nuts.

Right? Apparently he cut me a deal and only charged me for 7 hours instead of the 12 that he said they had in it.... I literally (figuratively) might have sh*t a squirrel over 1200 dollars in labor for brakes/bearings/seals.

Yea the math adds up correctly and I get it.. they do great work and now they have a second shift as well for faster turnaround times so that's all pretty cool on their part.. I'm mostly just ashamed that I ended up paying so much labor for something that I should have done myself but was too lazy... So I suppose in a way I felt the need to vent about my poor judgement lol. I guess it always hurts to spend money when you don't want to.

Depends on how willing you are to wait. I have been piecing a kit together since this spring. I have a banks manifold I paid $65 for and $120 cross over, $40 rad hose, $300 hx35 and a dodge inter cooler I paid 160 for. I pry have another $200 that will be spent in exhaust and hot side piping. I will be able to tell you what the hp gain is because I will be doing a before after at the shop inc.

I like what you have done so far! Sweet truck! More pics?

Are you talking about my truck Or John's? If mine, thanks! I haven;t picked it up from the shop yet, been buying gun parts, and this way it isn't taking up space in my garage. I'll get this train going again though eventually! I promise :)

Hey guys- Truck is still sitting at Inland since I'm still saving up the funds to pay off the bill... Times are tough. Sometimes I wish I could sell the thing so I could work on my '68 SWB 2wd. Getting tired of having a toy that only goes slow, especially since I never get to wheel with it....

Noooo, don't sell it (unless it to me for cheap :D). Just get it paid when you can and we'll set something up with us NE guys. :waytogo:

It is snowing now, time to get it out and wheel it. My camaro has been sitting for over a year and you don't here me crying like a little girl, well not yet.

Yea I suppose.. Plus it will come in handy when the world ends in a few weeks.

I think I want to spray bomb this thing solid OD green. The old dark WWII green. The Camo is kind of irritating.. Thoughts?

If you do want to buy an AR, I think it's your best bet to put one together yourself. After doing a few, I don't think I'll ever buy a complete ever again. Too much compromise.

All green would look good.

I want to build an AR really bad. Too many expensive hobbies!

How many cans do you think it would take?

I'm putting one together now with an 18" stainless 5r barrel and 3-9x42 SWFA optic. Very Excite!

Yes - that would be cool. Flat not gloss. :waytogo:

Keep the K5. My life experience is I sold stuff (needed funds for something), and lots of times there never comes a 'good' time in life to replace it. You've already done the work, keep it, drive it, then decide what to do.
