is the overall assembled length of the magnum any shorter than a gen 2 doubler?

magnum = Since the 205 input is integral with the planet assembly, the overall length of the gearbox is a super compact 6.25"

doubler = Overall Length of assembled 203 with NP205: 21.5" from front of 203 to ujoint center

i have read the doubler is just a hair bigger than a stock 203 setup .

I thought ORD had measured lengths on their web site

My 205 is 12-1/2" so i'm gonna say 18-3/4" total

if you know a 205 with no adaptor on it then just add the 6.25 to it lus the factory round style adaptor you would be using behind the trans .

but yes they need to add more length info . .

Hey Chris,

Before in pull the trigger, what kind of info do I need to give you guys when ordering? Are there similar clocking options like the doubler has? ( It looks like there's a ring with multiple bolt holes already in it to clock it?). Thinking it would be nice to keep the shift lever is relatively similar spot as the 203 range box of at all possible.

We need to know what transmission and adapter you're using so we get the input splines and bolt pattern right, and then we need to know what NP205 you're using. There are a bunch of clocking options on the face of the Magnum, you choose which you want to use and just install the mounting studs in the corresponding holes. It isn't a separate ring, the face of the housing is tapped with 5 or 6 clocking options (depending on the bolt pattern details).

Cool.

My 205 has a doubler mounted on front of it now so it's the big 32 spline input and the trans is the nv4500 with 32 spline output with the short 4wd adaptor. Is lead time still ~8-10weeks?

Assuming you want to reuse your NP205, we've been running a week back or so. If we were ever a couple months out on those, it was a long time ago.

Woah, ok I must have read an old post. So I can wait a bit longer. Will be reusing my 205.
