Anyone know of a desent one that is free? As always thanks for the help
Yahoo site builder is free. I used it when I did my site. It is good to start with. It has basic templates.
OK any chance you have a link to it? thx
Don't know of any free ones, But I can help with code issues if you run into any.....and that is free
I can't get to it while I am at work. I will get it tonight. But, if you go to yahoo.com and go down the page about halfway, there are links to webhosting that should have the sitebuilder2.2 inside.
Found it. Its 9 bucks now, guess its no longer free. thanks anyway guys
i think angelfire.com is free
thanks for the reply i just tried it. I dont know crap about computers. i have no idea what i just read. there goes that idea....
Any free page is gonna have adds on it. Try www.moonfruit.com They used to make it real easy to have a neat looking site.
if you're talking about a site building program, i used netscape composer 7.2 to build my site (www.web.pdx.edu/~colbys) and i think it worked great. kind of a pain to use, but very easy to do. if you're asking about free hosting space, i don't know. mine's just hosted through the school.
thanks guys i will give it a try. mike
colbystephens, your site is what i want to do. yours was done good by the way.
thanks, dude. if you need pointers on how to make it work, let me know. essentially, it's just making a whole bunch of tables inside tables inside tables. if you want me to send you a file of one of my pages and then open that file with netscape composer, you could see how it was done. the tables don't show up when you post it (if you want - you can also make the tables show), they are just there for guidance.
if you can do that it sounds great thx
Ya might also want to Google "front page express". It's free and does a decent job of formatting most of the HTML stuff for ya. I get freakin' tired of typing all the /'s and <'s in HTML code. Express is kinda old, but it'll do most simpler stuff for ya. I used the full blown version of Front Page to make my free site on Angelfire at http://www.angelfire.com/super/ThunderTruck/
you don't have to do any html code in composer either.
Mike - if you want me to send you a brief how to, drop me a line at colbys (at) pdx (dot) edu. your user profile says that i can't email you.
Sweet. I haven't used any Nutscrape stuff in quite a few years. I gave up on 'em when they came out with the Gecko engine a few years back that was incompatible with pretty much everything.
Mozilla uses Gecko....
Yep, but Nutscrape was the first to tout it as the greatest thing since sliced bread (not long after AOL acquired them). Then they released it before it was ready for prime time. I downloaded it, installed it, tried it, deleted it, and removed Nutscrape from my bookmarks. I'm pretty happy with the current version of Firefox though!
