Can I run a TBI 12 - 15 PSI in-tank fuel pump for my 6.2L?

I understand the stock lift pump runs about 5 PSI, so this is well over double the pressure of stock. My truck is already plumbed with an in-tank fuel pump, and I'd rather use it rather than install a noisy pump on my frame rail.

Isn't there some type of pressure regulator at the fuel inlet fitting on the IP? I'm running a massive Carter fuel pump that's got to be putting out a lot more than 5 PSI--still need a fuel pressure gauge :doah:

I'd suggest a regulator to drop it to around 4-7 PSI. Suitable regulators can be had from Summit or Jegs. The higher pressure shouldn't be a problem, in theory, but I would still go with the regulator...
