Replaced the jounce bumpers in the front end a coulple weeks ago. Mine have been bad for a few years but I just ignored them.... didn’t think they did a lot. Turns out the front end is a lot smother with the new ones installed.
I read about these on the diesel place a log time ago., they are for a 2007 and up Duramax with the z71 option. They are stiffer than the originals and a direct fit.
Nothing left of the old ones , and had a hell of a time getting them off. The nuts were a ball of rust. Had to grind them out. Not much room to get a grinder in there but I got them after a lot of time and some blood.
This is the part #
No pics of the blood?
One side of my old truck was missing those.
To gory to post.
I got one side of the sway bar disconnected cause the link was rusted and I just cut it off when I replaced a axle. Can`t tell the difference with out it so I never bothered. Might just pull the rest of it out.
I had the same experience on mine, and replaced with the same bumpers. Turns out those things are REALLY important to the front suspension working correctly.
I should check mine I guess?
I bet they will look a lot like my old ones. Colby’s need to be replaced too.
My new set of 255/85/16 Toyo M55s I’ll get them put on next week.
Looking for a different set of wheels for them, my factory PYO aluminum wheels are wore out! If I can find anything this weekend I’ll use the chrome steel wheels I got.
I know you’ve loved those tires Dean!
Ratbag has some 16s doesn’t it......
I’d keep the Steels that are on it on there, I dig it’s current look.
Dean should buy stock!
You know they make other kinds in other sizes right?
You know how people get old and stuck in their way...
I dunno about old...you're still a young pup!
Get stuck in your own way? Maybe you need new tires...
Larger, wider, more aggressive...then you won't get stuck so much.
37" Boggers should do the trick
Lol! It’s just a old farm truck doing old farm things for old farmers.
So, you’re old and stuck?
